Admission
In compliance with German law, we require that all children admitted to the school must be at least three years old by September 1 of the year they are to start school. Prospective students must be toilet trained before beginning school, regardless of age. All children are admitted on a probationary basis for a period of six weeks. Guidelines and criteria for acceptance are: date of application coupled with the maintenance of a homogenous group, i.e. sibling status, age, sex, ratio of English to non-English speakers. The director reserves the right of all entrance decisions. The TIMS Toddlers must be 18 months upon entry and are not expected to be toilet-trained.
TIMS-Frankfurt Area Application
To initiate the admissions process, TIMS must receive a completed application form. There is no application deadline, but it is recommended that the admissions process be initiated in late winter or early spring for the next school year. Applications are accepted on a space available basis throughout the school year.
Visiting TIMS-Frankfurt Area
International students admissions to TIMS are invited to view a typical school day as part of the admissions process. Visiting students have the opportunity to meet staff members and fellow students, become familiar with classroom and behavior expectations, and to experience the general atmosphere of the school.
