Faculty

Mrs. McClean is from Boston and has been the school director since 1985. She graduated from Boston University and Schiller University in Heidelberg. Mrs. Mc Clean had many years of business management experience before coming here to TIMS and has participated in a number of various Montessori workshops and seminars. In August 2010 Mrs. Mc Clean celebrated her 25th anniversary at TIMS.

Ms. Patterson from Albany, New York, has been with TIMS since 1995. She graduated from the State University of New York with a B.A. in Child Psychology. She participated in the St. Nicholas Montessori Teachers’ Training Course in London, from which she has her Montessori teaching degree. Ms. Patterson has taken part in many further Montessori training courses and workshops.

Mrs. Trasimeno-Somers, from Ireland, has been with TIMS since 1996. Mrs. Trasimeno-Somers has much experience with child care and has the Montessori teaching certificate from the St. Nicholas Montessori Teachers’ Training College in London. As our other teachers, Mrs. Trasimeno-Somers has participated in many Montessori training courses and workshops.

Ms. Ryan is from Australia and has experience with child care as well as her Montessori teaching certificate from the St. Nicholas Montessori Teachers’ Training College in London. Ms. Ryan has also participated in various Montessori training courses and workshops. She has been with our school since 1998.

Mrs. da Conçeiçao from the Ukraine, worked at TIMS during 2003 and 2004, pausing then for a two year baby break. She returned to us in August 2006. Mrs. da Conçeiçao graduated from the Netschui-Lewizki College and is a qualified elementary and English teacher, who also gives after school art lessons to the children at school. She helped start our toddler group in August 2009 and completed her Montessori Teacher Training Course for children ages 0 – 3 in 2011.

Ms. Georgiev from the Philipines, has worked at TIMS since February 2008 starting out as an assistant teacher. Mrs. Georgiev has a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies. She is a trained and state-certified German Kindergarten teacher and a certified Montessori teacher for the ages 3 – 6, who had teaching experience in a local German Kindergarten before joining TIMS. She set up and led our toddler group in August 2009 and is currently leading a group of 3 – 6 year old children.

Mrs. Lambrecht our German teacher, is from Bad Nauheim. She attended the Justus Liebig University in Giessen and taught German at the U.S. Army schools for 25 years before joining us in 1996. She has attended various Montessori workshops as well.

Mrs. Jennifer Fithian joined TIMS as a teaching assistant in August 2010. An American, she has a Bachelor of Science degree in Financial Economics from Binghamton University in New York. Her last position before joining TIMS was as a Senior Fund Accountant at JP Morgan Chase in Boston. She also has experience as a substitute teacher and trainer. Mrs. Fithian is currently a member of the USA Women’s National Handball Team.

Mr. Jordan Fithian Mr. Jordan Fithian joined the TIMS Team in March 2011 as teaching assistant. He is an American and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the Emporia State University in Kansas. He has long-term experience as a children’s and youth’s coach for handball, soccer and basketball. Mr. Fithian is a member of the American National Men’s Handball Team.

Mrs. Marcela Fernandez Braga began working at TIMS as a teaching assistant in October 2010. From Rio de Janeiro, Mrs. Braga is a qualified elementary school teacher licensed in Brazil. She has completed her studies at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe Universität as a “Diplompädagogin”. Mrs. Braga has many years of multi-facetted work with children and young people of different ages.

Miss Elham Talebi has been working at TIMS since February 2009. She is an assistant and supervises our afternoon care program. Her years of experience as an au pair, an assistant at the children’s summer program, and at the Kinderkunstwerkstatt in Königstein and participation in courses in the care of young children in Bad Homburg have enabled Miss Talebi to be of great service to TIMS.

Mr. Wirth our gym teacher, has enjoyed a long career in local sports and has trained children’s soccer teams, which involves physical fitness training in various aspects and has been with TIMS since 1998.

Mrs. Knöss has been with TIMS since 1985. She comes from India, where she obtained her B.A.B.ed. and Montessori education from Punjab and Meerut Universities. Ms. Knöss has initiated Montessori schools in Tibet and India. She has participated in many other Montessori training courses and workshops as well, including special needs. After her retirement in 2010 Mrs. Knöss has remained the TIMS yoga teacher.

Mr. Trasimeno our chef from Italy, has been with us since March 2008. Daily, Mr. Trasimeno prepares delicious, fresh, hot lunches for the children and staff. He is a passionate cook, who also offers after-school cooking lessons to the children at school and is also the school custodian.
